Architecture of Neemrana Fort Palace

This exquisite and strategic example of fort architecture is counted among the best fort palace in India. Situated on a mountainous loop of Aravali range having almost an invisible sight, the fort for centuries occupied the central place in the history of India. Initially constructed by the rulers of the Chauhan dynasty, the fort came into light with the accession of Prithviraj Chauhan as the ruler of Delhi. Neemrana is situated just between at the border of Rajasthan and Haryana. Historians are of the view that Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan before declaring Ajmer as his capital executed all the important affairs of his state from this fort only. The palace has been so intelligently constructed that even today unless one reached the top of the hill, the fort won’t be visible. One can imagine this place a thousand years back where this was all covered with thick forests and tigers, leopards and elephants roaming in the valley. Even today the visitors are surprised to see the caliber of the people who were so such conversant with the principles of architecture. This fort has been converted into a lavish hotel which has been a prime choice for people visiting the Golden Triangle.
